Video Analytics

Macroscop has the largest variety of developed intelligent modules. Some of the unique modules are Suspect search and Suspect Tracking. Suspect search in archive quickly finds required fragments of video by the photo,cube_half pattern, position in the frame, object size, form, color, signs including search by multiple cameras and search for people in groups. 

You are welcome to connect intelligent modules with the Macroscop’s IP camera software to expand the functionality of your video surveillance system. 

  • Face detection, Suspect search, Tracking, Sabotage detection and Abandoned object detection modules are included in Macroscop ST version for free. Other modules are optional and can be included on additional charge.
  • All intelligent modules may only be connected to Macroscop LS on the additional charge, except for the Sabotage detection coming for free.
  • Intelligent modules may not be used with Macroscop ML, except for Sabotage detection, Audio stream processing, and PTZ camera control modules coming for free.

License plate recognition (LPR)


Designed to automatically recognize and record license plates that enter an IP camera’s field of view.

Capabilities:

  • Recognition of license plates of moving cars and archiving of information about the time and date of recognition, the license plate, as well as the reference to the corresponding video frame.
  • Real-time interception of recognized license plates listed in a database.
  • Support of the embedded database of license plates: adding and editing license plates, additional information (color, owner, etc.) on vehicles.
  • License plate groups, including groups for interception and automatic barrier opening; one license plate can be assigned to one or more groups.
  • Search of recognized license plates in the archive by time, date and details from a database.
  • Export of the list of recognized license plates in Microsoft Excel or CSV formats.
  • Barrier control.

What You Need to Do:

  • Install IP video cameras at each entry point where license plate recognition is required;
  • Install Macroscop LS or ST software with the required version of the license plate recognition module (for parking lots or highways). The cost of the module depends on the number of IP cameras that will be performing license plate recognition.
  • Connect IP video cameras designed to perform license plate registration to a server with Macroscop software and the right license plate recognition software version installed (for parking lots or highways).

 

 

Fisheye dewarping


Expands an image from the FishEye camera in three versions: as a pie pan, in simulation PTZ mode, in 4×90 mode. Expansion in real time and while playing archive.

What You Need to Do:

  • Install IP video cameras at each facility where  PTZ or/and Fisheye Dewarping are required.
  • Install Macroscop software with PTZ or/and Fisheye Dewarping Module . The cost of the modules depends on the number of IP cameras = channels;
  • Connect IP video cameras to a server with Macroscop software and PTZ or/and Fisheye Dewarping module for each camera where the functions will be in use.

Tracking


Tracks moving objects within the camera’s field of view.

Capabilities:

  • Tracks moving objects within the camera’s field of view;
  • Sounds the alarm in the event a line is crossed, moving into a zone, or an object remaining in a zone for an extended period;
  • Searches the archive for alarming events and video fragments where a security line was crossed or someone entered a zone;
  • Interactively searches the archive for anything crossing a line the operator decides to create.

What You Need to Do:

  • Install IP video cameras at each facility where observation is required;
  • Install Macroscop LS or ST software with the tracking module. The cost of the module depends on the number of IP cameras that will be in operation tracking objects;
  • Connect IP video cameras to a server with Macroscop software and intelligent tracking module for each camera where the function will be in use.   

 

Abandoned object detection


This intelligent module is designed to detect abandoned objects — if an object is left in the frame for over the specified period of time, the operator receives a corresponding alarm and the object itself is “highlighted” on the screen.left-luggage

Smoke and fire detection


The Smoke and Fire Detection Module detects the presence (emergence) of smoke and/or fire.

Audio stream processing


The audio stream processing module records and plays audio streams back from an unlimited number of IP cameras.  Effectuate duplex (two-way) connections with several camera models.

Crowd monitoring


Crowd monitoring Module warns of dangerous situations and mass unrest on city streets, in squares, parks, train stations, retail locations and in other public spaces. The function automatically notifies the operator should the quantity of people exceed an indicated limit. Two limit values may be indicated that will generate an “Attention” or “Alarm” signal.   

What You Need to Do:

  • Install IP video cameras at each facility where Crowd control Module is required.
  • Install Macroscop LS or ST software with the Crowd control Module. The cost of the module depends on the number of IP cameras;
  • Connect IP video cameras to a server with Macroscop software and Crowd control Module for each camera where the function will be in use.

Suspect search


Significantly speed up and simplify object searches in the archive.

Upload a photo of the object into the software (person, car, any moving object) or indicate its color, dimensions, position in the frame, and the system will output all objects contained in archival recordings from every camera that are similar to it. 

Capabilities:

  • Assign exact object dimensions or do so interactively in the frame;
  • Interactively assign a location in the frame as a search criteria;
  • Assign object searches using photographs or by shape from the archive;
  • View video fragments that show the desired object when they appeared in the frame;
  • Searches for objects by color. Perform searches for several colors at the same time;
  • Save video fragments in AVI format.

What You Need to Do:

  • Install IP video cameras at each facility where Suspect search is required.
  • Install Macroscop LS or ST software with the interactive search module. The cost of the module depends on the number of IP cameras that will be performing Suspect searches;
  • Connect IP video cameras to a server with Macroscop software and Suspect search module for each camera where the function will be in use.

 

People counting


Determine the number of entering and exiting visitors with the aid of video surveillance cameras.

Capabilities:

  • Determine the number of entering and exiting visitors with the aid of IP cameras;
  • Receive accurate statistics on the number of those entering, exiting, and currently located in the store in real time and for a specific period of time;
  • Create reports and graphs for given parameters (hour, day, month, year, for several cameras);
  • Export data in CVS format (which is compatible with Microsoft Excel, for example);
  • Count objects of any size (you may count not only people, but also cars, animals, etc.);
  • Receive data simultaneously from various points of entry and create report tables both at the facility and off-site via the Internet.

  • Install IP video cameras over each entrance or passageway where visitor counts are required;
  • Install Macroscop LS or ST software with the people counting module. The cost of the module depends on the number of IP cameras that will be in operation counting visitors;
  • Connect IP video cameras to a server with Macroscop software and intelligent people counting module for each camera where the function will be in use.   

 

Loud sound detection


The module detects an excessive audio level registered by the microphone.

Sabotage detection


Sabotage detection module detects camera defocusing, panning away from pre-defined view, illumination and overlapping.

Face detection


Automatically select faces from the video stream. Select those cameras and times when faces coming into the cameras’ view should be being observed and receive a database of faces. Choose a face of interest and then watch all video archives where this face appeared.

Capabilities:

  • Watch video fragments relating to when a face was detected;
  • View video fragments that show the desired object when they appeared in the frame;
  • Search for and display all faces detected during a specific period of time;
  • Save images in JPG format and print them out.

  • Install IP cameras above every passageway where face detection is required;
  • Install Macroscop LS or ST software with the face detection module. The cost of the module depends on the number of IP cameras that will be in operation for face detection;

People counting in queue


The People counting in queue Module warns an operator when a number of people in the queue exceeds a predetermined figure. There are up to six independent detection zones available per one camera . 

Suspect tracking


While operating in the large surveillance systems often it is not enough just to find the particular person in the archive, but also to observe this person’s track between various cameras’ field of view. Macroscop team announces breakthrough solution: new and unique Suspect tracking module!

Users who work with video surveillance systems and use video achieves most often need to use the video indexing function. Traditionally (without using our indexing with special features), the process is as follows: An operator looks at an image on one camera, searches for a suspected person, browses the video archive, and checks to see whether or not this person appears on any other camera. Normally this process takes a lot of time.

And that is how the process appears when the new video indexing technology is employed. It is very simple: the camera captures the appearance in a video of a specific person, and the operator is able, by one click of a button, to select automatically all the appearances of this person from the cameras’ viewpoints.  It is then possible to track all of this subject’s movements easily:  where they came from, and when, where, and how they moved. Within a particular surveillance system, the indexing technology is able to locate people with similar features who were within the cameras’ viewpoints during or within a specific period of time. Usually, the system finds a lot of different people with similar features and presents them in the form of snapshots. The operator only needs to click on those images and subjects which need to be tracked. Within a minute or so, it’s possible to track all the movements of a particular person, and even to create a step-by-step video of the movements.

PTZ camera control


The PTZ camera control module saves money on additional equipment and controls movement with the use of a standard gaming joystick.   

What You Need to Do:

  • Install IP video cameras at each facility where  PTZ or/and Fisheye Dewarping are required.
  • Install Macroscop software with PTZ or/and Fisheye Dewarping Module . The cost of the modules depends on the number of IP cameras = channels;
  • Connect IP video cameras to a server with Macroscop software and PTZ or/and Fisheye Dewarping module for each camera where the functions will be in use.

Face recognition


The face recognition module automatically identifies optimal portraits from the video stream (reference images). Such images are stored in a database for subsequent identification. Highly-accurate recognition is possible due to the application of innovative technology that biometrically indexes facial features.

Capabilities:

  • Face recognition in real time and when working with archives;
  • Adding and deleting faces from the reference image database;
  • Face search in the database;
  • People search in the archive using photographs;
  • Searching portions of a recording corresponding to a section where face recognition occurred;
  • Displays recognition statistics;
  • Printing and saving photographs of recognized faces to bmp- or jpeg-format files.

What You Need to Do:

  • Install IP cameras above every passageway where face recognition is required. Camera specifications and viewing angle should comply with specified requirements;
  • Install Macroscop LS or ST software with the face recognition module. The cost of the module is based on the number of IP cameras that will be in operation recognizing faces and the number of faces in the database (from 1,000 to 1,000,000);
  • Connect IP video cameras to a server with Macroscop software and intelligent face recognition module for each camera where the function will be in use.

Heat map


The Heat Map Module allows to create heat maps based on traffic in different areas of the frame to evaluate the volume of activity in the area.

Capabilities:

  • Especially useful in retail, warehousing and transport infrastructure sites
  • Permits traffic volumes to be evaluated and discovers where people tend to move about the most
  • The hot-spot zones are lit up in various colours, with red representing the busiest areas
  • Create automated management reports of the busiest areas within the cameras field of view
